Call for Artists: Selfie Board Commission – Soiree on State 2025

The City of Cayce is seeking a talented artist to create a one-of-a-kind selfie board during the 2025 Soiree on State event, taking place on March 22, 2025. This exciting commission offers the selected artist an opportunity to showcase their skills while creating an interactive public artwork that represents the unique spirit and vibrancy of Cayce.

Project Details:

• The selected artist will design and paint a selfie board live during the Soiree on State event (board and frame will be constructed prior to event by the City).
• The artwork should creatively reflect the identity, culture, and landmarks of the City of Cayce.
• The completed piece will serve as a designated photo opportunity for future events’ attendees.

Artist Requirements:

• Must be available to work onsite during the event on March 22, 2025, from 2pm until completed (no later than 5pm).
• Experience with public art, murals, or live painting preferred.
• Ability to create a vibrant, engaging, and high-quality design.
• Must supply a concept sketch and artist portfolio for consideration.

Compensation:

• The selected artist will receive a commission fee of $500 to cover materials and labor.
