Planning and Zoning

The City of Cayce’s Planning & Zoning Office plays a central role in guiding the City’s growth and development while protecting the character and quality of life of the community. The department leads long-range planning efforts and ensures that new development aligns with the City’s Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance, and Land Development Regulations. Staff is responsible for the reviewing and issuing of zoning & sign permits, conducting commercial and residential site plan reviews, and processing annexation, rezoning, zoning variance requests and more, to confirm compliance with established standards. The office also manages property registration and provides assistance to residents, business owners, and developers as they navigate the development process. Through thoughtful review, coordination, and strong customer service, the Planning & Zoning Office promotes responsible growth, economic vitality, and well-planned neighborhoods throughout Cayce.
