The Tradition Resumes: Christmas in Cayce 2021

The City of Cayce is excited to resume its 2021 Christmas in Cayce festivities. Beginning Thursday, Dec. 2 at 6 pm through the end of the year, drive through the Cayce City Hall campus at 1800 12th Avenue, to see the magic of more than 35,000 Christmas lights and the City’s gorgeous 22-foot Christmas tree on display!

Dec. 2: Christmas in Cayce Drive Through, 6 pm – 8 pm

The Christmas in Cayce Drive Through event was such a hit in its first year, we’re doing it again!  This family-friendly, free event, sponsored by The Woman’s Club of Cayce, includes Christmas light displays, Christmas music and a visit from Santa. In addition, The Woman’s Club is collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items as part of the 19th Annual Cayce Cares project, which benefits God’s Helping Hands and the Scooter Scott Project. If you miss this event, don’t worry, the lights at City Hall can be seen nightly through the end of the year.

Dec. 3: Carols Along the Riverwalk, 6 pm – 8 pm

Beginning at 6 pm at the N Avenue Entrance of the Cayce Riverwalk, the sounds of the holidays will delight with local church choirs and musicians performing throughout the first half-mile of the Riverwalk. During this one-of-a-kind reverse caroling event, the Riverwalk will also glow with luminaries, and free refreshments will be served. Parking will be made available at Brookland Cayce High School, with free Trolley rides provided to and from the entrance of the Riverwalk.

Dec. 4: Cayce Historical Museum’s Annual Holiday Open House, 6 pm – 9 pm

The sights, sounds, and tastes of Christmas abound at the Cayce Historical Museum’s annual Christmas Traditions Holiday Open House. Each room will be decorated with trees and crafts from the 18th century to present. The event will also feature live entertainment, docents dressed in period attire, and light refreshments. As we had to cancel last year’s event because of the pandemic and missed being able to gather during this time, this year’s theme is “Christmas: Re-United We Stand.”

Dec. 11: Holiday Parade of Lights, 5:30 pm

This annual event is one of the most anticipated holiday parades in the Midlands! This beloved nighttime parade, hosted by the Greater Cayce West Columbia Chamber of Commerce, begins at 5:30 pm at the Cayce Municipal Complex at 1800 12th Street. It will proceed down 12th Street, ending at Highway 1 and 12th Street in West Columbia. In previous years, crowds have exceeded more than 20,000.
