The City of Cayce is excited to announce that Cayce native, Allison Barrs, has been named as the City Treasurer.

The City of Cayce is excited to announce that Cayce native, Allison Barrs, has been named as the City Treasurer.

Allison is a graduate of Airport High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Columbia College. In addition to working in the private sector, Allison has also served as the Deputy Treasurer for Richland County and the Director of Finance for Lexington School District Two. 

She is a Certified Government Finance Officer and completed the University of South Carolina’s Government Finance Officer program in 2016.

Deputy City Manager, Michael Conley, explained that “As Municipal Treasurer, Allison will head the City Finance Department, manage payroll, manage the general and utilities ledger reconciliations, city budgets, issue monthly finance reports as well as financial compliance and city audits.”

Allison has been with the City of Cayce Finance Department since 2023.
